Copper is a beautiful, living metal that naturally changes over time. One of the things we love most about it is the warm, earthy glow it develops as it journeys with you. Because copper reacts to air, moisture, and the natural oils in your skin, it may gradually darken or develop a richer patina. This is completely normal and is a sign of genuine copper.

Caring for Your Ring

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

• Remove your ring before showering, swimming, exercising, or washing dishes.
• Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairsprays, cleaning products, and other chemicals.
• Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place when not in use, ideally in a jewellery pouch or airtight bag to slow natural oxidation.
• Handle your ring with care. Although the wire is durable, it is handcrafted and should not be bent or squeezed.

Cleaning & Polishing

If your copper begins to lose its shine, it can easily be restored.

For light cleaning:

• Wipe your jewellery with a soft microfibre or jewellery polishing cloth after wearing it to remove oils and fingerprints.

For a deeper polish:

• Use a copper polishing cloth or a small amount of copper polish on the metal only, taking care to avoid the crystal where possible.
• Gently buff until the copper regains its warm glow.
• Finish by wiping away any residue with a clean, soft cloth.

Natural Patina

Some people adore the rich antique finish that copper develops over time, while others prefer its bright polished appearance. Both are beautiful, and it’s entirely your choice whether to let your jewellery age naturally or keep it freshly polished.

A Little Copper Tip

Copper may occasionally leave a green mark on your skin. Don’t worry—this is a completely natural reaction between genuine copper and your skin’s moisture, pH, or lotions. It is harmless, washes away easily with soap and water, and isn’t a sign of poor-quality metal. In fact, it’s one of the ways you know you’re wearing real copper.
